Location
Our head office is situated at 22 Ivy Street, Observatory, near the railway station, on the Hartleyvale Stadium side of the railway track (i.e. not the Table Mountain side) - and right next to the Station Road bridge. Our area offices and project venues are located in Athlone, Bonteheuwel, Gugulethu, Heideveld, Khayelitsha, Mitchell's Plain, Retreat and Observatory. Social workers also conduct home visits to clients in the greater Cape Town area.
Directions for motorists (from Liesbeeck Parkway)
From Liesbeeck Parkway (heading towards Salt River), turn left into Station Road at the traffic lights with Hartleyvale Stadium on your left. Before the bridge, turn first left (into Ossian Street) and immediately first right into Barrington Road.
Travel down Barrington Road towards Observatory Station. As the bridge rises to the right side of you, you will see parking available under the bridge at the end of Barrington Road. Walk underneath the bridge to the road parallel to the other side of the bridge - this is Ivy Street. Cape Mental Health can be found at 22 Ivy Street, and is accommodated in a large, double-storey building on the corner, next to the railway line.
